  • £50K prize open for entries from 10 September
  • Creators of new music in all genres encouraged to apply

Providing the most significant financial investment in new music, the PRS Foundation’s biennial New Music Award is back and from 10 September will be welcoming proposals for creative and exceptional new musical projects.

Offering a £50 000 prize to a musical idea that has not yet been realised, the New Music Award is open to anyone based in the UK including individuals, bands and organisations who are interested in pushing the boundaries of the musical genre they work in.

The New Music Award is the flagship of the PRS Foundation, the UK's largest independent funder of new music across all genres. The PRS Foundation provides core support for creators, performers and producers of new music and aims to motivate public debate about creative music-making in the UK.
