Seatwave Offers The Beeb £100,000 To Save The Electric Proms

London, February 2011 – Fan to fan ticket exchange Seatwave has offered the BBC £100K to reconsider it’s decision to cancel this year’s Electric Proms. The event, which had become a firm fan favourite, is to be axed due to cost–cutting measures.
Joe Cohen, CEO of Seatwave, said “ The electric proms is a fantastic event and has had a massively positive impact on the Camden area. It has given people the chance to be part of intimate shows by world-renowned acts such as Paul McCartney, Neil Diamond, Robbie Williams & Oasis, outside of the stadiums that they normally pack out. It is a real shame that it is under threat simply due to the budget constraints of the BBC. That is why we want to offer £100k to save the Proms for future generations.”
