The American cellist Bernard Greenhouse died on 13 May 2011 at the age of 95. Greenhouse, along with pianist Menahem Pressler and violinist Daniel Guillet, was a co-founding member of the renowned Beaux Arts Trio, playing in the group between 1955 and 1987 and thereafter teaching and giving masterclasses. Bernard Greenhouse was born in Newark (New Jersey) on 3 January 1916.
