Christopher Mayo will be working with Manchester Camerata over the forthcoming season as its new Composer in Residence, in collaboration with Sound and Music’s Embedded scheme.
Manchester Camerata is delighted to be partnering once again with Sound and Music on the Embedded scheme for its 2012/13 season.
Canadian born composer Christopher Mayo was recently selected from a very strong shortlist to work with the orchestra over the course of its 40th anniversary season.
Manus Carey, Camerata’s Head of Creative Programming said ‘We're very excited to have appointed Christopher Mayo as our 'Embedded' composer in residence for the 2012.13 season. Not only will it be a great opportunity for him to work very closely with our orchestral players, the wider organisation, and audience throughout the year, but it will also be an enriching experience for our players to be closely involved in the development process of the new compositions he will write.’
