Eversheds Sutherland is proud to announce that it has teamed up with three of London’s most iconic art, music and design organisations to create a mutually reinforcing series of relationships which foster and celebrate the very best in innovation, talent development, community outreach and thought leadership.
Eversheds Sutherland has become the Founding Corporate Partner of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama (Guildhall School) and has also been named as Corporate Patron of the Saatchi Gallery and a Premier Corporate Member of The Design Museum.
Partnering with these like-minded organisations, all of which share a passion for innovation and contemporary thinking, is a significant shift from the usual corporate sponsorship model. In addition to tapping in to a fantastic roster of client, staff and community events, Eversheds Sutherland will collaborate with the organisations both individually and collectively to exchange ideas on a range of issues from diversity and talent to community outreach and social mobility. A selection of art from the Saatchi Gallery’s collection will be on display in the client suite of the London office at One Wood Street, with potential to roll-out across other international offices.
Matthew Allen, London Senior Office Partner, said: “We live and work in one of the most vibrant, diverse and exciting cities in the world. Our vision to be a leading global law firm focussed on quality, innovation and inclusivity is mirrored by these world-renowned organisations, which share our passion for helping some of the world’s best talent to reach and fulfil their potential. These partnerships will help foster an environment in which alternative thinking can flourish, as well as creating opportunities for us to reinforce and celebrate the Firm’s culture with our clients, our people and our communities. We are proud to partner with these iconic and like-minded brands.”
Jo Hutchinson, Head of External Affairs at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, added: “We’re delighted to partner with such an innovative firm. The Guildhall School is all about excellent craft training at the forefront of cultural change, and we very much see these values reflected in those of Eversheds Sutherland. In addition, the proximity of our locations, at a time of exciting cultural development for the City of London, will create many opportunities for collaboration between our two organisations. We welcome Eversheds Sutherland as our Founding Corporate Partner.”
Celeste Bright, Director of Development at the Design Museum, commented: ‘‘The Design Museum is delighted to welcome Eversheds Sutherland as a Premier Corporate Member. Their cross cultural support will help to create vital links between the commercial and arts communities in London, raising awareness of the capital’s outstanding cultural offer. As an independent charity the Design Museum relies on such corporate partnerships to deliver its exhibitions and education programmes, to enable over 650,000 visitors a year to understand the value of design. Leaders in their field; it is great to see Eversheds Sutherland collaborating with the cultural sector and we very much look forward to working together over the coming year.”
Nigel Hurst, CEO of the Saatchi Gallery, said: “We are thrilled to be involved with Eversheds Sutherland as part of their new partnership scheme. This collaborative relationship demonstrates both parties’ commitment to creating an audience for contemporary art, and will allow the Saatchi Gallery to continue to provide an innovative platform for emerging artists to show their work. Being alongside the Design Museum and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama also presents a wonderful opportunity to work in alignment with different creative disciplines.”
