From Musical America Worldwide, December 15

“CHICAGO -- As 2017 winds down, the big news on Chicago's classical music scene is a project that will not happen in 2018. Last April the Ravinia Festival, summer home of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, named James Levine as its conductor laureate. Ravinia hasn’t announced its full 2018 schedule yet, but Levine will not be on the CSO conducting roster.”
