It is the dream of many amateur musicians: once in their lives to be on the concert stage of the Berlin Philharmonie in the place normally occupied by the Berliner Philharmoniker, and to play under the baton of Sir Simon Rattle. This dream can soon come true with our Education Programme’s BE PHIL Orchestra project. We are looking for 100 amateur musicians from all over the world who have the time, desire and skills to perform Johannes Brahms’s First Symphony on 21 May 2018 as part of our open day.
Show us what you can do in a video
Like to join in? Then apply with a video (best between 3 and 15 minutes) showing you playing your favourite piece of classical music. Please play a piece – in its entirety or an excerpt – that allows us to assess your abilities. You can upload your video to our website from now on. A jury consisting of members of the Berliner Philharmoniker will select the candidates from the first 1000 entries. Good luck!
