From Musical America Worldwide, May 11

“A widely distributed report showed up on the Associated Press wire yesterday indicating, ‘Performances by former Metropolitan Opera Music Director James Levine were withdrawn from the company's Sirius XM satellite and online radio channel.’ That's not entirely accurate.”

Met statement:
“In December 2017, following the suspension of James Levine as Music Director Emeritus and Artistic Director of the Met’s young artist program, Levine’s recordings were temporarily withdrawn from the Sirius XM schedule. The recordings have not been withdrawn from the Sirius XM catalogue and will be reintroduced to the programming at an appropriate time. There are more than 175 performances (videos and radio broadcasts, spanning from 1972 to 2017) conducted by James Levine available to stream on Met Opera on Demand. No Levine-conducted performances have been removed from the Met Opera on Demand catalogue. The entire Met Opera on Demand catalogue is available to stream through the Met’s website at www.metopera.org/season/on-demand/and through free apps available for Apple TV, iPad, iPhone, Android, Roku, and Samsung Smart TV. The catalogue is also available for purchase via www.metoperashop.org”
