Andrew Burke has been appointed Chief Executive of the London Sinfonietta following the departure of Cathy Graham and Gillian Moore. His position covers the overall management of the ensemble as well as the development of artistic policy in collaboration with the existing team and external advisors.

Currently Head of LSO Discovery, the London Symphony Orchestra's community and education programme, Andrew has previously worked in education roles at the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and at Blackheath Concert Halls in South East London. In the past three years LSO Discovery has expanded its programme into LSO St Luke's, while also significantly developing a series of opportunities for composers through Sound Adventures and the LSO Discovery Panufnik Young Composers scheme.

Andrew takes up the position on 1 July 2007. Until then, Jane Williams remains Acting General Manager of the ensemble.
