Masterpieces each! The first CD release of the Introduction and Allegro under van Beinum is notable; it’s a sparking and lucid account, well recorded (in mono) and sounding fine. The Beaux Arts captures the Piano Trio’s spectral and profound aspects and, surprisingly maybe, – not a ‘household’ name – the Carmirelli turn in one of the best recordings of the String Quartet.
