Whether conducted by Dorati or Fistoulari, both had the measure of Delibes’s choreography-in-music, his fund of tunes and colourful brilliance. Their orchestras play with relish. Knockout sound, too, from the Mercury Living Stereo stable with thrilling presence and tangible detailing.
