In addition to writing many booklet notes for Naxos over the past 20 years (mainly on 20th century music) along with numerous other labels, Richard Whitehouse reviews regularly for publications such as Gramophone and Musical Opinion. He is a founder contributor to the website classicalsource.com, writing on a variety of topics from the 2009 Donaueschingen Musiktage to Brian Wilson’s ‘Smile’ concerts, as well as reviewing the Enescu Festival in Bucharest every two years since 2011. He has also presented a paper at a seminar devoted to Nikos Skalkottas in Berlin and contributed to an Italian RAI documentary on Luigi Nono.
