Proms Publicity 2020: With 485 musicians taking part over 16 concerts across 2 weeks we hope you will join us for a fortnight of extraordinary music making. While we can’t be together in person this year, there will, as always, be a Prom every night at 7.30pm on BBC Radio 3. And in our fullest broadcast offer ever, each Prom will be available to watch on BBC TV or iPlayer.
The First Night this evening is at 8pm on BBC Two featuring the BBC Singers, BBC Symphony Orchestra and Chief Conductor, Sakari Oramo. Below is the viewing schedule for the rest of the two weeks.
We have programmes for each Prom available on our website, here’s the link for tonight: https://www.bbc.co.uk/proms/extra/yniu61x8bV/Beethovens-Eroica
This morning we opened the first in a series of Votes for Encores! For 3 Proms across the fortnight we have an audience vote to choose the encore the performers will play live. The first of which is for Jonathan Scott’s recital on the Royal Albert Hall’s mighty organ tomorrow evening. The voting closes at midday tomorrow so for your chance to have your say please visit: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/articles/3f49kKxyynGmCYpHTJKjF2S/the-symphonic-organ-vote-for-the-encore
