Cello Concerto in C
Cello Concerto in D

Duration: 49 minutes
Two of Haydn’s most popular works, the charming yet dramatic Cello Concerto in C and its deceptively personable brother, are given the transparent and detailed (yet never dry) performances you would expect from these accomplished artists. Christophe Coin’s slightly nasally tone perfectly complements his crisp attack and elegant phrasing, while the AAM under Christopher Hogwood is positively Apollonian. Excellent sound.
